A builder had a new home with a large island in the kitchen where the dishwasher leaked and there was heavy mold growth on island drywall. The cabinets were ok, but the toe kicks and base plates were moldy. The builder and the homeowner wanted to save the cabinets, the granite top, plus didn’t want their kitchen torn apart. They pulled all affected drywall from the backside and removed affected toe kicks and base plates.
