Joseph W. McLean, Jr.

As CEO of Alliance Environmental Group, Joe is responsible for acquisitions, marketing, client negotiations, and project management. He has nearly a quarter century of management experience, specializing in asbestos, mold, and lead abatement as well as demolition, air-duct cleaning and emergency response. He previously served as Executive Vice President for one of the country's largest asbestos abatement contractors, where he managed sales and marketing, operations, professional staffing, and community and business seminars.
Joe is a certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, Pest Control Branch 2 and 3 Field Representativem, ThermaPureHeat™ Level 3, and an EPA-accredited and AHERA-certified Asbestos Building Inspector. He is a licensed General Contractor in California (B License) and a licensed Demolition Contractor (C21) as well as a Supervisor/Competent person in Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Inspection Procedures. Joe earned additional certifications as a ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I & II and received certification for Hazardous Substance Removal and Remedial Actions, Water Damage Restoration and Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration.
He received certifications as a Ventilation System Inspector (CVI) and a Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) from the National Air Duct Cleaners Association and has met HUD and OSHA regulations on Lead-Based Paint. Joe is approved by the Department of Health Services and the state of California. He is a member of the State of California Contractors State License Board and is the American Indoor Air Quality Council Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor.
In Nevada, Joe maintains his Nevada Contractors' License No. 0059131, as well as a Demolition and Asbestos Abatement certification. He also earned his Arizona's Contractors' License No. ROC228970.

Jeff McLean
President and Co-founder

Jeff serves as President of Alliance Environmental Group, and is responsible for cost-control and field operations, in addition to business development and sales.
With over two decades of experience, Jeff has been associated with one of the country's largest environmental contractors, gaining vast knowledge in asbestos, mold, lead abatement, project management and emergency response.
By controlling costs, developing new accounts and maintaining existing customers, Jeff played a very important role in the significant growth of his previous employer.
Jeff is a certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor, Lead Supervisor/Competent Person, Asbestos Building Inspector and ThermaPureHeat™, Levels I & II. He has met HUD and OSHA regulations on Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Inspection Procedures. Jeff is approved by the Department of Health Services and the state of California. Jeff earned a B.S. degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of La Verne. He has also been involved in various associations focusing on successful management.

Steven K. Reaves
Corporate Controller
Steve has 21 years of financial management experience, as well as 13 years of experience as a Controller. He joined Alliance Environmental Group as the Controller and is responsible for accounting, collections, finance and office management. He has experience in various corporate environments. By providing expertise in accounting, finance, cost control and streamlining administrative departments and operations, Steven provides a structured support for significant growth.
Steve earned his CPA certification with an MBA in Finance and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
William J. Wood

Client Relations
As one of our most proactive Project and Branch Managers, Bill works directly on asbestos, lead, mold and demolition projects ranging from $500,000 to $1.2 million. Through balancing sales and operations as well as customer service and marketing, Bill is a significant part of Alliance's growth and increasing success.
He is responsible for the performance and maintenance of the company's largest division. While managing branch projects and the status of approximately 300 people per month, Bill makes the time to mentor Sales Estimators at Alliance Environmental Group.
Bill is a certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor and ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I & II as well as a Supervisor/Competent Person for Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Inspection Procedures.
He earned a B.S. in Marketing Management from California Polytechnic University in Pomona.
Edwin Munet
Corporate Human Resources Manager and Quality Control Manager
Edwin brings to Alliance Environmental Group a background in Human Resources and Care Management as well as a background in Psychology. As Quality Control Manager, he is responsible for designing, implementing, and regulating safe work practices, ensuring employee safety in asbestos, mold and hazardous material environments at our Los Angeles, San Diego, and Ventura locations. Edwin has designed employee handbooks and implemented office procedures regarding medical benefits, 401K plans and employee incentive programs. He continually contributes to Alliance Environmental Group by providing a professional dedication and a strong level of support.
Edwin is a certified Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor and Mold Remediator. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Mary H. Guerrero
Corporate Human Resources Generalist
Mary has over a dozen years experience in all aspects of Human Resources. She has held positions including HR Account Manager and HR Manager/Operations Manager for various companies, in several business fields. It’s that experience which makes her so valuable to us as we grow.
She is responsible for revising, creating, and implementing company and corporate policies in our Azusa headquarters as well as in the San Diego, Simi Valley, Santa Barbara and San Francisco/Redwood City offices.
With Alliance’s unprecedented growth, Mary continues to concentrate on recruiting and helping select the top-qualified candidates in all areas of the company’s environmental, mold, ThermaPureHeat™, asbestos, and demolition work, including adding to outstanding administrative support team.
She is certified with the AQMD 1403 Course. Along with the training in Asbestos, she is contributing in many different ways to build AEG. Mary’s loyalty and commitment to her job is serious and sacred.
Mary completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a minor in Sociology from California State University in Los Angeles.
Chris Cervantes
Regional Manager, Los Angeles
Chris Cervantes executes all account development and client retention, in addition to supervising all projects in the Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange County regions. Chris has been affiliated with Alliance for six years.
His discernment, leading to an increase in both sales and customer base has been instrumental in the company's growing success. Providing excellent customer service, Chris has developed relationships with a diverse list of clientele. His knowledge and expertise has resulted in customers ranging from homeowners and insurance adjusters to property managers and general contractors throughout Southern California.
Chris is a certified Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, Microbial Remediation Contractor, and ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I & II. He has completed the Xactimate Training, AQMD 1403, and Compliance Promotion Courses.
Chris graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with a degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Sales and Marketing.
Timothy A. Tilley
Branch Manager, San Diego
Tim has been active in the environmental industry for almost 20 years. His beginning as a field technician paved the way for more recent supervisory positions. He has a background in law and is a certified building inspector for asbestos material. Tim has work experience at some of the industry's largest firms, holding titles such as a Sales Estimator, Project Manager, Branch Manager and Vice President. He has managed projects from $500,000 to $1.2-million in budget.
As the San Diego Branch Manager, Tim is responsible for the overall performance of his office. He balances sales with operations and customer service while working towards company growth. As a previous owner and president of an abatement company, he knows that commitment to service and quality are essential to both his personal and professional life.
Tim is a certified Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor and a ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I, II and III. Tim is a Board Member of the San Diego Law Enforcement Foundation and a Member of the San Diego Insurance Adjusters Association.
Carlos F. Sanguinetti
Sales Manager, San Diego
Carlos has been a part of the Alliance Environmental Group team for six years and brings extensive sales experience from his years of employment within the insurance and financial industries. As a mold remediation and asbestos abatement specialist, Carlos works closely with a multitude of contractors, insurance adjusters, realtors and property managers.
He is a licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor and an Asbestos Building Inspector. He is also a certified Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Specialist as well as a certified ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I & II.
Carlos earned his B.S. in Finance and Marketing Management from San Diego State University.
Don McMillan
Branch Manager, Santa Barbara/Ventura
Don has over 16 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including five years with the City of Los Angeles Mechanical Engineering Department, and 10 years with one of Los Angeles' premiere heating and air conditioning contractors. Don has an extensive background in sales, customer service, new business development, and business management. He was involved in real estate development and sales, and he was named one of Coldwell Banker's top producing agents in the San Gabriel Valley.
Don is a Certified Universal Technician for placing refrigerants in air conditioning equipment as well as an official Mold Remediator. He is a licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor and a ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I & II.
Don completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California Los Angeles in 1983. In addition, he has attended several business management and sales training programs. Don is a member of the California Board of Realtors (CAR).
Pete Varga
Branch Manager, Bay Area
Pete has over 22 years of experience in the environmental industry with estimating and managing residential and commercial asbestos and mold remediation projects.
Prior to joining Alliance Environmental Group, Pete worked in the insurance industry for ten years, building experience as both a Liability Insurance Adjuster and as a Marketing Representative. Pete moved into the asbestos abatement industry more than two decades ago.
Pete is a certified Mold Remediator and a member of the American Indoor Air Quality Council.
He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
Ed Work
Sales Estimator, Bay Area
Ed has been in the environmental industry for approximately three years, working as an Estimator and Project Manager throughout the Bay Area.
He is a certified Asbestos Abatement Supervisor/Contractor and ThermaPureHeat™ Technician, Levels I, II and III. Ed continues to receive additional training, including a 3-day mold training seminar at IET.
Ed received a Bachelors degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing from San Jose State University.
