Alliance was contacted by a campground that was experiencing a situation that unfortunately is all too common. Bedbug infestation! With the recent outbreaks it is becoming more and more difficult to keep these pests under control.
This campground was experiencing a problem that they knew had to be resolved before they allowed anymore visitors into their cabins. With a total of 21 cabins to treat Alliance was able to get the job done in just two days.
With our patented technology known as ThermaPure Heat we were able to heat each cabin to 140° F for 5-6 hours each, this is the lethal temperature for bedbugs and their eggs. The cabins were each heated individually with all mattresses and furniture inside for full heat exposure to ensure that we captured all bedbugs.
Along with heating each cabin we needed to heat the belongings of each camp counselor. Bedbugs can travel anywhere. If the camp counselors were occupying the bed bug infested cabins this means that there suitcases and duffle bags were probably infested as well.
We used a large room to heat all of the counselor’s belongings to make sure that no bedbugs were traveling back into the campsite.
The campsite was then able to open its doors for full occupancy.
