In fall 2006 Alliance removed asbestos contaminated drywall and joint compounds from a four-star hotel in Anaheim near Disneyland. Alliance established containments for each of the 57 units in the eight-story, 85,000 square foot hotel to reduce the risk of asbestos exposure for both guests, visitors, and employees.
Following safety regulations as defined by the federal government, Alliance used airless sprayers, (machines that keep the contaminated materials wet throughout the process) to keep the asbestos fibers from becoming airborne. Asbestos fibers are so small that they are invisible to the naked eye and can pass through a normal vacuum cleaner filter and re-enter the air.
Alliance as a licensed and certified asbestos contractor, which uses HEPA vacuums to remove the asbestos dust. We effectively cut out and remove the drywall and joint compounds, and obtained a third party clearance and approval.
Unfortunately, upon completion of the project mold was discovered. Because of the successful asbestos clearance, the Anaheim hotel asked Alliance to complete the mold remediation.
With a time and schedule crunch, we were able to successfully remove and remediate the mold and asbestos for all 57 units in just six days.
Another success story for our crews and for all of us at Alliance.
