Asbestos Disease Awareness Week

Written by Alliance Environmental

The beginning of the year have been filled with several events that are going on in the industry. The first week of April is important because it is a full week of information that we can share with everyone. April first through the seventh is Global Asbestos Awareness Week. That week will also be known as “Asbestos: One Word. One World. One Week.” Each day of that week the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization will provide important information on asbestos, mesothelioma and include stories of those who have fought with Mesothelioma in their lives. The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization is the largest independent victim’s organization in the country. The organization strives to educate and bring awareness to the public about the impacts that asbestos can have on someone’s health.

During the first week of april, several topics will be shared to the public on the website. For instance, on the first day of April, Linda Reinstein Co-founder of the Organization will be talking about the latest facts about asbestos in the mining, manufacturing, and commerce industries. Another example of topics that will be shared throughout this week, is how workers can be safe and what actions they can take to be safe in the workplace. There will be tons of information that will be shared through out this week. Mark your calendars and come back to our blog to read more about events that are happening in the industry and how you can become more educated on the negative effects that asbestos can have in your environment.

*If you think your home or building contains asbestos, it is important to seek professional assistance. Alliance Environmental is a licensed asbestos removal company with extensive experience in properly containing the asbestos, complete decontamination of the site, and lawful disposal of the contaminated materials.
