Spring has Sprung!

Written by Alliance Environmental

As I’m sure you have noticed, we are sponsoring a major fundraising event for the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego—the Ronald McDonald House Dinner with Friends is tomorrow!

I hope you joined us and our amazing co-sponsors in helping this great organization but if not, you can still contribute to the silent auction if you do it TODAY (Contact Matt Teeter at matt.j.teeter (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any items you would like to donate or any other goods or services that could help with the event) and you are of course invited to donate to the San Diego House!  We wish great good luck to the organizers of this event, our own Carlos Sanguinetti and Matt Teeter and everyone who helped to make it a success!  We will have photos very soon (and in the newsletter)!  Tickets are available at the door!

Last night we celebrated our newest office in Anaheim with a St. Patty’s Day Open House!  It was a fun party with lots of friends so thank you for coming if you made it!  I will have pictures of that soon, as well!

We will be introducing some new members of our team and know you are interested in hearing about the experience of our newest staff members!

And our biggest news:  We will be launching a redesigned website in April!!  We are really excited about that and our newsletter will contain a little teaser, but—no spoilers!

Spring is a great time to think about dealing with irritating environmental concerns in your home or other building.  Did the roof leak during the February rains?  Mold is an issue wherever there is water!  Are you planning any remodeling or renovation projects this spring or summer?  If you are dealing with old lead-based paint or asbestos-containing building materials, you need a professional to remove it safely!  When was the last time you cleaned out your dryer vents or kitchen exhausts?  What about your air conditioning system?  Pretty soon, it is going to get hot and we don’t want any of your systems or appliances working too hard or using too much energy!

Keep coming back to the blog for advice, tips and news about environmental concerns and check out the AirTek blog for more topics that affect your indoor air quality!

And don’t forget to Spring Forward this Saturday night!!

Wendy Stackhouse is the Online Community Manager for Alliance Environmental Group and AirTek Indoor Air Solutions.  We welcome your comments!  For more news and tips or to ask questions of our experts, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!  For updates on indoor air challenges, Like us at AirTek on Facebook!
